The PGD Berserker is a standalone ceramic hard armour plate tested to NIJ 0101.06 Level III with special threats. It stops 7.62 NATO M80, 7.62×39 M43 and 5.56×45 SS109/M855 with 6 shots per threat, and 7.62×39 API-BZ with 3 shots, without soft armour behind it. The strike face is hexagonal alumina (Al2O3) ceramic on a polyethylene backing, edge to edge, in a heat-sealed, water-resistant Cordura cover. It is a 10 × 12 in, SAPI-cut, single-curved plate, 30 mm thick, weighing 2.5 kg.
