The PGD DELTA IIIA Soft Armour Insert is a stand-alone NIJ IIIA soft armour panel, available in ESAPI-cut, square-cut and 25 × 30 cm (10 × 12 in) sizes. It stops .44 Magnum and 9 mm FMJ handgun rounds and is rated to STANAG 2920 for fragments. The Teijin aramid panel is 6.7 mm thick and sealed in a TPU cover that resists water and sweat. PGD makes it in its ISO 9001:2015 certified factory in Denmark and says it fits most third-party carriers.

Which size do I need?

Choose the insert that matches the pocket of your carrier. Compare the dimensions in the specifications with the pocket: ESAPI cuts run from Small (227 × 303 mm) to XL (285 × 361 mm), square cuts from 127 × 178 mm to 127 × 355 mm.

Will it fit my carrier?

PGD says the DELTA insert fits most third-party carriers. Check the pocket size of your carrier against the insert dimensions before you order.

What does it stop?

It is rated NIJ 0101.04 Level IIIA against .44 Magnum SJHP (436 m/s) and 9 mm FMJ (439 m/s) handgun rounds, and to STANAG 2920 against fragments (V50 592 m/s, 17 gr fragment). For rifle threats you need a hard armour plate.

Is it water resistant?

Yes. The panel is sealed in an ultrasonic-sealed TPU cover that PGD describes as 100% water and sweat resistant.
