The PGD LW NIJ III Side Plate is a standalone polyethylene side plate tested to NIJ 0101.06 Level III+. It is rated against 7.62×51 NATO M80, 5.56×45 M193 and 7.62×39 M43, 1 shot each, and needs no soft armour behind it. The plate is 100% HPPE (Honeywell and Dyneema materials) in a water-repellent Cordura cover heat-sealed to the plate. It is single-curved, square cut, 28 mm thick and comes in 6 × 6 in and 6 × 8 in.
