The PGD LW is a lightweight standalone polyethylene hard armour plate tested to NIJ 0101.06 Level III+. It stops 7.62 NATO M80, 5.56×45 M193 and 7.62×39 M43 with 6 shots per threat, and needs no soft armour behind it. The plate is 100% HPPE (Honeywell and Dyneema materials) with an anti-back-face-signature liner, foam encasement and a liquid-repellent Cordura cover. It is a 10 × 12 in, SAPI-cut multicurve plate, 28 mm thick, weighing 1.54 kg.
