The PGD Protector is an NIJ IIIA vest for concealed or overt wear, with a CORDURA® 500D carrier, MOLLE and front and back pockets for ESAPI hard armour plates. The soft armour stops .44 Magnum and 9 mm FMJ handgun rounds and is rated to STANAG 2920 for fragments, and PGD states 360° protection. The removable placard can be swapped for a custom one, and webbing behind the MOLLE takes G-hooks or similar. PGD describes the Protector as a stronger version of its DELTA concealable vest; the soft armour is made in PGD's own factory in Denmark.

Can I wear it under clothing?
Yes. PGD designed the Protector for both concealed and overt use, with a low-profile cut. With its MOLLE carrier it can also be worn over clothing.
Which size do I need?
Size follows chest width: S 70–80 cm, M 80–90 cm, L 90–100 cm, XL 100–110 cm, 2XL 110–120 cm, 3XL 120–130 cm. Choose the size whose range includes your measurement.
Are hard armour plates included?
No. The vest comes with NIJ IIIA soft armour panels. The front and back pockets take ESAPI plates (sold separately): S takes ESAPI Small, M–XL ESAPI Medium and 25 × 30 cm plates, 2XL ESAPI Large, 3XL ESAPI XL.
What does it stop?
The soft armour is rated NIJ 0101.04 Level IIIA against .44 Magnum SJHP (436 m/s) and 9 mm FMJ (439 m/s) handgun rounds, and to STANAG 2920 against fragments (V50 592 m/s, 17 gr fragment).
