The PGD S-LW ICW is a super lightweight polyethylene plate rated NIJ 0101.06 Level III+ when worn in conjunction with (ICW) NIJ IIIA soft armour. Used over IIIA soft armour, it stops 7.62×51 NATO M80, 7.62×39 MSC M43 and 5.56×45 M193 with 6 shots per threat. On its own, the plate does not give Level III+ protection. It is a 10 × 12 in, SAPI-cut, multi-curved plate in a Cordura cover, 15 mm thick, weighing 0.95 kg.

Can I wear it without soft armour?
No. The S-LW is an ICW (in conjunction with) plate. It gives NIJ Level III+ protection only with NIJ IIIA soft armour behind it.
