The PGD U-line NIJ IV Side Plate is a standalone ceramic side plate tested to NIJ 0101.06 Level IV. It is rated against .30 cal M2 AP and tested against 7.62×54R API B32, 5.56×45 SS109, 7.62 NATO M80 and 7.62×39 M43 as special threats. It is made of monolithic silicon carbide from Saint-Gobain with an aramid backing, a thin foam layer and a water-repellent Cordura cover. The plate is single-curved, square cut, 26 mm thick and comes in 6 × 6 in and 6 × 8 in.
