The PGD U-line NIJ IV is a standalone ceramic hard armour plate tested to NIJ 0101.06 Level IV. It is rated against .30 cal M2 AP armour-piercing rounds and tested against 7.62×54R API B32, 5.56×45 SS109, 7.62 NATO M80 and 7.62×39 M43 as special threats, without soft armour behind it. The plate is monolithic silicon carbide ceramic from Saint-Gobain, edge to edge, with an aramid backing and a water-repellent Cordura cover. It is multi-curved and ESAPI cut, in sizes ESAPI Small to XL and 10 × 12 in.
