The Argus BNVD-1431 MK2 is a binocular night vision device for helmet or handheld use. It takes two 18 mm MX-10160 image intensifier tubes in a fibre-reinforced polymer housing. A built-in gravity sensor switches the device off when you flip it up and back on when you flip it down, so you do not need a separate switch.
Typical uses
- Night patrol and surveillance
- Search and rescue in low light
- Law enforcement and training at night

FAQ
FAQ
What does FOM mean?
Figure of merit is tube resolution multiplied by signal-to-noise ratio. A higher FOM gives a clearer image in low light.
How does the auto on/off work?
A gravity sensor turns the device off when you flip it up past a set angle and on again when you flip it down. After 100 seconds without movement it goes into standby. Press the power button 5 times to switch these functions off.
Can I use only one eye?
Yes. Each pod flips up and down on its own, so you can use one or both eyes.
How long does the battery last?
More than 15 hours on one AA battery, and more than 50 hours with an external battery pack at normal temperatures.
