The Argus Universal Strobe Battery Pack (USBP) is a rear-helmet battery pack that powers a night vision device through a Fischer port. It also works as a counterweight, which reduces load on the neck during long use. Two IR strobes help with identification friend or foe (IFF) and search and rescue (SAR), and they keep working when the batteries are very low.
